A Special Delivery

It’s a big feeling - getting a hard copy of your book from your publishers in the mail.

A tactile object, not a collection of images on screen. It’s so different. You have to take a while to let it sink in.

Opening up the package containg New Coastal, I had a wave of appreciation for the book’s designer, my friend Daniel New. One of the top book designers in Australia, he always brings a simplicity, flow and tactile quality. Similarly, a gratitude for my publisher- Hardie Grant. Their top tier production values create something you like holding in your hand - an artefact.
